COVID-19
How long does COVID-19 stay on surfaces?
It has been speculated that the COVID-19 virus can last on surfaces for 2-3 days, which can be a potential threat to your staff or your customers should they come into contact with it.
Will wiping my surfaces kill the COVID-19 virus?
When you are dealing with a virus that is so infectious, just wiping the surfaces is not always enough. Electrostatic spray disinfection is really the best way to ensure that you have treated every surface.
Will cleaning suffice or do I have to disinfect against COVID-19?
The CDC recommends both cleaning and disinfection, and points out that, “cleaning alone does not kill germs. Disinfecting with an EPA-registered disinfectant does kill germs and further reduces the risk of spreading the infection.”
Does your process kill COVID-19?
Our 2-step process first disinfects surfaces with a non-toxic, EPA-approved product, then adds an antimicrobial layer that has residual protection for 30+ days. It’s like having an invisible shield that prevents the infection from being able to live on those surfaces.
DISINFECTION PROCESS
Why is your service more effective for disinfection?
DMT uses a certified, 2-step process that first disinfects surfaces with a non-toxic, fully organic, EPA-approved solution, killing 99.99% of all germs and viruses it comes into contact with. Next, we add an antimicrobial layer that offers extended surface and environmental protection for up to 30 days AFTER application.
Is your disinfection process safe to people, pets, plants?
100% YES! Our electro-static spray and EPA-approved disinfectant kills germs, yet is organic! It poses no risk of harm to children, adults, pets, kids, or the environment.
Is it safe for my surfaces?
Absolutely! Our disinfectants are organic, non-toxic, EPA-approved, made in the USA, and NON-CORROSIVE. Our treatments do not harm your surfaces, floors, materials, wood, or fabrics.
How does your antimicrobial tech work?
The active ingredient in our Penetrexx antimicrobial forms a colorless, odorless, positively charged, polymer, which chemically bonds to the treated surface, think of it as a layer of electrically charged swords. When a microorganism comes in contact with the treated surface, the “quat” or “sword” puncture the cell membrane and the electrical charge shocks the cell. Since nothing is transferred to the now dead cell, the antimicrobial doesn’t lose strength and the sword is ready for the next cell to contact it. Normal cleaning of treated surfaces is necessary to prevent the buildup of dirt, dead microbes, etc. which could cover the “swords”, prohibiting it from killing microorganisms. Learn more here.
What distinguishes your Penetrexx antimicrobial from others?
Conventional products are absorbed into living cells and kill by way of poisoning the organism. They are designed to act quickly and dissipate quickly to avoid adverse effects to humans and animals due to their toxic ingredients. Penetrexx technology provides extended control of microbial growth on treated surfaces with no need to reapply for 30-90 days. The surface itself is modified to make it actively antimicrobial offering extended protection between your standard cleaning and disinfecting routine, which will not disrupt the antimicrobial protection provided. Is preparation needed for treatment?
Clearstream’s MEDI DEFENSE line has a compatible surface preparation and cleaning product (mPerial) that is also a disinfectant. First clean high-touch surfaces with mPerial and a microfiber towel to remove visible soil and organic matter. Penetrexx when used in tandem with mPerial, creates the perfect combination of cleaner and antimicrobial protection.
